Volunteer Opportunities Avaiable:
Our Neighbor’s Pantry is looking for volunteers to pick up food, pack food, and distribute food boxes.
Volunteers must provide their own transportation and have the ability to lift 10 pounds.

To Promote the elimination of hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency through education and advocacy.

Volunteer Opportunities Available:
- Pack, sort, and re-pack food boxes, bulk food, or food from food drives. Volunteers work on assembly line.
- Help with client services, client intake, loading client boxes and filling client orders.
- Administrative duties such as filing, data entry, opening mail, and answering phones.

Phoenix, Glendale, Surprise, Flagstaff
Volunteers are required to have their own transportation to and from the site. Food handlers cards are only required for Kids Cafe volunteers (please contact agency for information on this opportunity). Volunteers age 12 and older are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, but minors 16 and older can be unaccompanied if volunteering for school. There is no maximum age; SMFBA’s oldest volunteer is 96! Bilingual is always a plus, but never a requirement.

Warehouse positions require the ability to stand, lift at least 25 pounds at one time, bend, twist, and use hands and arms for work. Light duty and office positions are available for volunteers who do not meet warehouse requirements.
To deliver food and quality services to food banks and to foster relationships in support of our commitment to eliminate hunger.

Volunteer Opportunity Available
Bring your group of 10 – 40 willing volunteers for hands-on fun and a great service to families in need! You can repackage pasta, beans, and other dry foods from bulk bins into family size packages for food bank distribution. You may soon be known as the Bean Baggers or Pasta Packers!
Spots are available for groups on weekdays or Saturday – daytime – for just two hours. AAFB accepts both regulary-scheduled and occasional volunteer groups. The Mesa Cannery has offered its facility for the benefit of food banks. The most important ingredient in the process is YOU!
