Volunteer Opportunity Available:
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers include:
- Tax Assistor: prepare taxes for families making less than $50,000 a year, utilizing training provided by the IRS
- Screener: Greet clients, help explain process, review tax documents
Geographic Areas Served:
Flagstaff, Page, Williams, Leupp, Show Low, Holbrook, St. Johns
Volunteers must be familiar with computers and have the ability to work with a wide range of people. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from VITA sites and should be 16 or older. Bilingual or multilingual volunteers are needed, particularly those fluent in Spanish.
